A good friend of mine told me about it during my studies at the University of Göttingen.
I had a good feeling during my job interview (...and I like to go with my gut feeling). I was highly interested in the topic of water research and chemical analysis. And I had a very good first impression of my new colleagues. Finally, I also took into account the good reputation of the UFZ.
Leipzig is a very diverse and lively town. It is much bigger than my home town, though not too big - you can easily reach every place by bike. I love that there is so much water in and all around the town - ideal for swimming and cycling along the shore.
After my graduation I wanted to work in the field of environmental science. The UFZ is the ideal place to do so. People here are experts in their field of research and always willing to share their knowledge. I'm happy to be part of it.
