I chose to do my Ph.D. because I like the institute's interdisciplinary approach to environmental issues. I believe that by being part of the UFZ, I can contribute meaningfully to the field, driving innovation and finding sustainable solutions for our planet's future. Additionally, the academic community and collaborative opportunities here provide an ideal environment for me as a researcher.
Living in Leipzig allows me to enjoy the benefits of citylife (cultural activities, diversity, having friends close to me) and at the same time escaping the urban environment easily by going to the big parcs, forests and lakes.
