At UFZ since

May 2018

How did you learn about the UFZ?

The first time during my bachelors study (BioGeoScience) in Jena as there are a lot of collaborations between the university and the UFZ. E.g. I joined a lecture by Prof. Wolf v. Tümpling (UFZ Magdeburg). Later I joined the UFZ for my Master thesis while studying in Vienna, to apply my knowledge about river biofilms in an ecotoxicological approach.

Why did you come to the UFZ?

Good connections for multidisciplinary research, well structured graduate school and good lab equipment

What do you like about the city you live in?

It's the perfect size and mixuture of the other cities, where I lived so far. Larger than Würzburg and Jena, smaller than Vienna, but still shaped by the many (PhD-)students.
