A1 Historical walk through Leipzig's city centre

Date: Thursday, 30.9.2021 in the afternoon
Start: Augustusplatz / Mencke Fountain (in front of the Gewandhaus), 2 p.m.
End: Panorama Tower Leipzig, 3.30 p.m.
Excursion leader: Ingrid Carmienke
Costs: 4€ for the entrance to the Panorama Tower to be paid individually on site

E1 Urban waters: Wasserstadt Leipzig (half day) - sold out

Start: Richard Wagner Square - Leipzig city centre, 3 p.m.
End: 6 p.m., probably at the Waldplatz (near the center)
Excursion leader: Matthias Scholz, employee of the city of Leipzig

Leipzig has a complex network of small streams, as well as ditches and canals. The excursion will show some of these interesting waterways, explain their history and connections to city development, and how they contribute to the well-being of the residents of Leipzig.

The excursions will take place on Friday, 1 October 2021, and in the case of Urban Waters (E1), on the afternoon of 30 September. If individual excursions do not take place, we may need to make suggestions for an alternative. The stated costs are intended to cover the expenses of the bus trips etc.
