Meeting for early arrivals: For those who arrive early, there is the option to meet already on Sunday evening from approx. 7pm on in a restaurant. The address will be announced here soon.

Young Scientists Program

  • Mentoring: Along with the get together on Monday, 27.09.2021 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., we are offering an informal meeting for young scientists with mentors of different scientific areas of limnology, different career stages, and also from outside academia. At this meeting you can discuss topics like ‘career paths after the PhD’. A list of available mentors will be posted on the conference homepage or at the conference office. Please indicate whether you are interested in the mentoring meeting when you register for the conference.
  • Meet the editor: On Tuesday, 28.09.2021 from 12:10 a.m. to 13:40 p.m., you can meet editors of various limnological journals to discuss the ins and outs of the publication process. The exact location of the meeting will be announced shortly beforehand on the web-page and at the conference office. Please register for the editor meeting when you register for the conference.

Conference Dinner: The conference dinner will be held on Wednesday, Sept 29th, 2021 in the Moritzbastei in the Centre of Leipzig. The fee covers the dinner buffet, but drinks have to be paid separately at the location. The fee for the conference dinner is € 35 regular price, € 25 for students if you pay by August 15th. The fee for payments after August 15th is € 40 regular price, € 30 for students.

Science Cinema DGL: Film meets Research: Following the general meeting on Tuesday, 28.09.2021, we invite you to a film and discussion evening. In cooperation with the foundation "Living Rivers and flow: europe e.V." we will show a selection of films from the event series  river film fest from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Kubus in Leipzig.
