Professor Roland Müller, Dr. Manfred van Afferden & Dr. Mi-Yong Lee from the Helmholtz-Center for Environmental Research (UFZ), alongside with Dr. Wolf-Michael Hirschfeld, initiator of the Training and Demonstration Centre for Decentralized Sewage Treatment (BDZ) will be awared the 2018 German Environmental Award by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, DBU).
