INTOB is a software for the collection and management of data and metadata from toxicological observations according to the FAIR principles ("findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable"). Toxicological test results are required in a variety of contexts, e.g. for regulatory approval of chemicals based on data collected by companies, for environmental testing (e.g. of water or wastewater) by authorities, or for scientific research on cause-effect relationships. INTOB has been developed to enable the structured data management from such standardized/harmonized tests in digital form. For example, data from the widely used zebrafish acute embryo toxicity (zFET) test can be digitally managed and used in a structured way with INTOB.
The web-based INTOB software solution enables the management of observation-based toxicity data, common metadata collection standards and data protection guidelines via a dedicated user management domain. Experimental data and metadata are entered and stored directly into the underlying database via a web-based user interface. Data and metadata can be searched and downloaded via the web-based user interface or integrated Application Programming Interface (API) for further analysis. The interfaces allow connection to other software systems.
INTOB offers a centralized data storage solution, ensures data sovereignty and centralized data quality management with flexible but controllable options for using and sharing data.
