Recruited from 8 EU countries, EDA-EMERGE consists of 10 full partners (3 industrial, 3 research institutes and 4 academic partners), who host the 14 fellows, and 4 associated partners (3 SMEs and 1 research center), who co-supervise projects, offer internships and provide training courses. EDA-EMERGE partners have a history of successful collaboration, complementary expertise and backgrounds ranging from analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology and environmental science to river basin monitoring and environmental management.

A scientific advisory board consisting of international experts from the US EPA, Environment Canada, EEA, German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) has also been appointed to provide strategic advice with respect to scientific implementation and research development.
