Work package 3: Optimization

The results from WP2 are used in the optimisation process in WP3. Here, multi-objective optimization will be used to identify an optimal spatial distribution of the management strategies identified in WP1 in the case study area from a biophysical point of view, taking climate change and uncertainties into account. In addition, when choosing the solution algorithm, care will be taken to maintain the multi-objective nature of the optimization problem in order to be able to analyse synergies and trade-offs between the individual objectives. Furthermore, following the optimization, preferred solutions will be selected taking into account stakeholder preferences (in cooperation with WP4) and their feasibility will be validated.
