We are delighted to invite you to the 26th Kalorimetrietage, taking place in Leipzig from June 11 to June 13, 2025 at the UFZ in the KUBUS. Co-organized by the GEFA, this international event will bring together leading experts in thermal analysis, calorimetry, and thermodynamics to exchange knowledge and insights. The conference will focus on advancing discussions around thermoanalytical methods, calorimetry, and thermodynamics, with applications spanning chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, industry, and environmental sciences. Our goal is to cultivate a collaborative and inspiring atmosphere that encourages innovation and paves the way for future joint research in these dynamic fields. We look forward to welcoming you to Leipzig for this exciting gathering of minds!

The Kalorimetrietage is a prestigious biannual conference dedicated to advancing calorimetry and thermal analysis. With a history spanning decades, the event serves as a vital forum for researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, discuss the latest developments, and explore innovative applications in this dynamic field.

A Rich History of Collaboration

Founded in 1975 as the Ulmer Kalorimetrietage, later evolving into the Ulm-Freiberger Kalorimetrietage, and now known simply as the Kalorimetrietage, this conference has a legacy of fostering dialogue and cooperation among scientists specializing in calorimetry and related disciplines. Over the years, it has grown significantly in scope and influence, attracting a diverse international audience and showcasing cutting-edge research.

The primary objectives of the Kalorimetrietage are:

The conference will be hosted by the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ in Leipzig. Leipzig is located in the east of Germany and enjoys a relatively mild climate. Having grown as a fair-trade and commercial center, there are numerous convenient ways of reach Leipzig. The city has a unique atmosphere originating from its important role in Europe’s commercial and intellectual history, and its current renaissance, making it known as one the most dynamic cities in Europe (https://www.leipzig.travel/).

 Directions

By Rail

From Leipzig Central Station, take the tram No. 3/3E in the dierection "Sommerfeld"or "Taucha". After about 15 minutesalight at stop "Torgauer/Permoserstraße", cross the street and take the street "Permoserstraße" in eastern direction. After about 200 meters you will find the main entrance of the UFZ togehter with the KUBUS.

 By Road

On the A14 motorway , take the exit marked "Leipzig-Ost" and head towards Stadtzentrum (City Centre).

By Taxi

A taxi from Leipzig Central Station to the UFZwill cost about EURO 13. The fare from Leipzig-Halle Airport is about EURO 42. 

By plane

From Leipzig-Halle Airport, take the train (regional expresee) to the Leipzig Central Station (EURO 6,20 MDV). From there take the tram No. 3/3E as described above "by Rail".

We warmly invite your active participation by submitting scientific contributions as either an oral presentation or a poster. The official language of the conference is English; however, contributions in German are also welcome. The language of your title and abstract will indicate the language of your presentation.

To submit your abstract, registration is required. The extended submission deadline is May 2, 2025. All accepted abstracts are planned to be compiled into electronic conference proceedings, and we intend to apply for an ISBN to enhance their accessibility and recognition.
