Beschreibung
This archive contains segmented X-ray CT data of 26 soil cores from a tillage trial. Thirteen were taken from conventional tillage (CT) and another thirteen were taken from a no-till plot (NT). The saturated (Ks) and unsaturated (K-2) hydraulic conductivities measured with hood infiltrometer and tension infiltrometer or modeled with direct simulation are stored in a Excel table in the parent folder of the archive.

The name of each X-ray dataset is composed of UFZ_<tillage>_<#core> with CT-NT and 01-13, respectively. The mhd/raw file format stores important meta information in the mhd text file and the binary voxel data in the raw file. The image resolution of every X-ray CT dataset is 0.06mm. The material classes have the following gray values:

0 - exterior
1 - modeled air-filled pore space at -2hPa, which corresponds to a pore diameter > 1.48mm
2 - soil matrix
3 - modeled water-filled pore space at -2hPa, which corresponds to a pore diameter < 1.48mm
