In my current function as consultant and data steward at the unit Research Data Management I advise, support and link the scientific and technical staff of the UFZ in initiatives for sustainable management of research data and other digital objects. I explore and design concepts for the implementation of the FAIR data principles in the field of Earth and Environment. My personal focus is on (semi)automated metadata annotation, reproducible workflows and data provenance.

Based on an academic education in Geography (B.Sc.) and International Area Studies (M.Sc.) I have previously done research in the field of land use and land cover classification and change detection with a methodological focus on Geographic Information Systems, remote sensing and spatio-temporal modelling.
