Motivation of the Workshop:
The aim of the workshop is to address this challenge by reflecting and discussing essential elements of an effective inter- respectively transdisciplinary research process and to learn about suitable tools and methods for its management. This will be done theory-based but will in particular be illustrated by good and bad practice examples and case studies from research in the field of sustainable resource use (especially in drylands).
Target audience:
The workshop addresses up to 40 early-stage scientists (e.g. advanced PhD students or postdocs) and senior scientists as well as members of development organisations working in the area of sustainable resource use, who already work or plan to work in an inter- or transdisciplinary research context.
