Division Environmental System Computation and Monitoring
The "Division of Environmental System Computation and Monitoring" wants to make a contribution for getting more reliable information for our regional hydrological and ecological systems.
We believe that regional hydrological and ecological models, that are intended to have predictive power in climate and land use processes, should be as simple as possible and as complex as necessary.
Our research therefore focuses on the joint development of both multi-scale hydrological and ecological models, multi-scale measurement and monitoring strategies as well as the construction and operation of the terrestrial long-term observatory TERENO.
