Side Event
CityCLIM is an EU-funded project that aims to develop an Open Platform and Advanced Urban Weather Forecasting Tool for cities in Europe, using various sources of input data, such as in-situ measurements by citizen scientists, airborne, and satellite data. The project explores thermal sensing in urban areas using methodologies such as airborne infrared spectrometry and in-situ thermal radiometric sensors.
Aside from fitting the conference thematic area of “Subsurface investigation in challenging settings (e.g. urban areas and complex sites)”, one of the pilot cities of the CityCLIM project is Valencia. Having a side event for CityCLIM would benefit the project through engagement with the pilot city and dissemination/communication of results. Conference attendees may also benefit from the knowledge sharing of project insights. Attendance to the side event only will not incur full conference registration fees.
