Adverse outcome pathways

Biotox 2

Toxicity may be mechanistically understood as a cascade of subsequent steps reaching from initial molecular events to an adverse outcome for an organism or a population. Our activities focus on toxicogenomic studies to identify modes of action of contaminants, tools for sublethal effects detection in zebrafish embryo development (e.g. malformations, behaviour tracking) and methods for assessment and prediction of mixture toxicity.
