Abstract In the last decades passive gamma-ray spectrometry became more interesting as proxy for mapping of soil
parameters. For usage of gamma-ray data in Digital Soil Mapping a translation by geophysical transferfunctions
into soil parameters is needed. A prerequisite to develop such functions is a reliable comparison
between measurements at different field sites and times. During this study we will show the influence of
changing weather conditions (fog, sun) on the U concentration measured at different time steps and an
approach for the correction of data. Therefore repeated measurements along reference profiles were used.
Based on this method we were able to correct the data measured under foggy weather conditions.
