Abstract The spatial spread of pollen is modeled by transport equations from atmospheric physics. These equations are coupled with a population dynamic and genetic model. The resulting model consists of a set of coupled partial differential equations which is solved by finite element methods. As example the spatial spread of a resistant trait is simulated.
