Main Research Interests

  • Investigation of reductive dehalogenation using multi-element Compound-Specific Stable Isotope Analysis (CSIA) in the anaerobic microorganisms:

         - Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain BTF08 and strain 195
         - Thauera chlorobenzoica 3CB-1T

  • Proteomics for investigation of reductive dehalogenases involved in "Organohalide Respiration" of chlorinated ethenes and ethanes in Dehalococcoides mccartyi strain BTF08
  • Isolation of a pure Dehalococcoides mccartyi from highly enriched culture
  • Analytical method development for CSIA, especially for Liquid Chromatography - Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrommetry
