Bioinformatics Service

The bioinformatics service of the UFZ develops solutions for bioinformatics problems, e.g., workflows or pipelines in the Galaxy Server of the UFZ. In the focus are problems that affect a large user group at the UFZ. Furthermore support for the development of own bioinformatics approaches is offered. The bioinformatics service addresses all researchers of the UFZ.

A bioinformatics curriculum is currently under development. A first course (The Linux Command Line -- Automatizing Bioinformatics Problem Solving) will be held on August (21.-22.). All courses will be published here and on the websites of the DEVELOP or HIGRADE.

Bioinformatics support can be requested via a ticket system (you need to send an email to WKDV to be able to login) or by email. Email request will also be added to the ticket system. Please note that the first login to the ticket system needs to be approved by the WKDV.

In order to obtain an overview of the bioinformatics demand of the UFZ
a survey is currently ongoing. The survey can be found here.
