Objectives

The workshop gave an overview of existing and upcoming regulations within the EU (Water Framework Directive, Soil Framework Directive), the FP7 collaborative project - iSOIL and an introduction into the principles of soil property mapping, applied geophysical methods as well as emerging techniques for mapping. This workshop offered a good opportunity to discover the current 'state of the art' of monitoring techniques and to get some ideas of what is needed in the future.
