WP 5: Validation and application

Objectives

Application and validation of various soil function and soil threat models, based on data provided by the integrated approach of geophysical sensing and digital soil mapping (WP 1-4) on test sites with known soil degradation impact

(Cross-scale) application, analysis and validation:

  • of the integrated techniques and algorithms developed in WP 1-4 to map soil properties, functions and threats
  • of soil function and soil threat models based on geophysical data and digital soil maps provided by WP 1-4
  • based on a hierarchical representative sampling and mapping approach, as developed in WP 4 at a large independent test site
