Department news

Summa cum laude

On 12 Aug, Dipl.-Chem. Johannes Schwöbel successfully defensed his PhD thesis in Freiberg. The title of his thesis was "Quantum chemical modeling of hydrogen bonds to predict the H donor and H acceptor strengths on the Abraham scale", the research has been done in our department. He achieved the predicat "summa cum laude". Congratulations!

New PhD students and guest

We welcome Asier Vallejo Ruiz from Bilbao and Dr. Xiang-Zhou Meng from Shanghai. Both join us as guest scientists for three months. Daniel Heinzelmann started as a PhD student, as well as Antje Erler, who does her practical work in Freiberg.
