- Development of field deployable analytical techniques for the long-term monitoring of trace organic compounds in air and water
- Development and application of combined UV-Vis / fluorescence submersible sensor probes for the continuous monitoring of water quality
- Development of novel membrane extraction probes for the use with direct push technologies for continuous and quantitative groundwater monitoring
- Configuration of ion mobility spectrometers for long-term monitoring of trace organic compounds in water and air
- Development of new ionization sources for atmospheric pressure ionization in combination with ion mobility spectrometry, possibilities of ion focusing and exploration of ion molecule reactions
- Combination of selective enrichment techniques based on molecular imprinted polymers and sensors as novel approaches for the rapid targeted screening of water contaminants
- Application of field deployable analytical techniques so as to better understand the occurrence and distribution of contaminants in natural systems
- Validation of novel sensor technologies using mass spectrometric methods
