Marie Mühlenbrink

In April 2017 Marie Mühlenbrink started as a technical assistant in the Department of Cell Toxicology. She performs cell based bioassays and bacterial bioassays. Furthermore, she is involved in a research project aiming at determining the sorption of chemicals to biomaterials.

Marie studied biotechnology and applied ecology at the Technical University of Dresden in collaboration with the International Graduate School in Zittau. She wrote her master´s thesis on “Elucidation of the enzyme regulation in organohalide-respiring bacteria by quantitative proteomics” at the Department of Molecular Systems Biology at the UFZ in Leipzig and successfully finished her master in January 2017. She continued working on the project of her master´s thesis as a research assistant until the end of March 2017.
