Scoping Study for a National Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services in Germany (NEA-DE)

In a Scoping Study for a National Assessment of Ecosystems and their Services in Germany (NEA-DE), we investigated how an assessment could best be designed and implemented in a way that is effective and responsive to the requirements of potential users in policy, administration, economy and society.

The study explore the context conditions for an assessment of ecosystems and their services in Germany, identifies policy-relevant questions and proposes two options for a modular implementation. The study was developed by an interdisciplinary team at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), supported by external scientists.
