Areas of Expertise & Research

  • Bioavailability of organic compounds in soils with particular emphasis on extracellular enzymatic degradation processes.
  • Kinetics in homogeneous and heterogeneous enzymatic catalysis and enzyme immobilization in solid matrices.
  • Sorption processes of organic compounds to (soil) solid materials.
  • Heterologous expression of proteins in E. coli and protein purification.
