Saskia Knillmann

Saskia is a geoecologist and joined our working group in 2008. Her research interests are to identify toxicant effects at the population and community level under different environmental conditions including the projected climate change. Furthermore she worked in the field of applied ecotoxicology in order to integrate a novel strategy for mosquito control developed by the Department System Ecotoxicology in Kenya. For her research she conducted experiments with zooplankton communities under semi-field conditions and monitorings under field conditions. In addition she analyses large data sets related to the trait based approach SPEAR for freshwater macroinvertebrates.
