How did you learn about the UFZ?

I was looking for PhD positions in environmental sciences and found the UFZ via helmholtz.de.

Why did you come to the UFZ?

The UFZ has a good reputation and was recommended by my former colleagues. My research topic is not only interesting but also highly relevant in today's society.

What do you like about the city you live in?

Leipzig is affordable and not too big. It looks a bit run-down in some places but has a certain kind of charm to it. There are lots of cultural and recreational activities available.

How do you like it at the UFZ / in HIGRADE?

I like my colleagues and the productive atmosphere in my department. HIGRADE offers a nice selection of courses. But most importantly, the supervision of PhD students is great.
