With the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Bioscience, Pharmacy and Psychology, the University of Leipzig provides interdisciplinary input for ESCALATE.

The Research Academy Leipzig

offers courses on transferable skills as well as career services, and other services like flexible child-care facilities for doctoral students and young researchers. ESCALATE is forming a class within the Graduate Centre Life Sciences of the Research Academy Leipzig.

Various research groups in the departments of Geobotany, Zoology and Microbiology (Institute of Biology, Faculty of Natural Sciences I) and at the Institute of Agriculture and Nutritional Sciences (Faculty of Natural Sciences III) are collaborating within ESCALATE.

UBA

The Federal Environment Agency (UBA)

is the scientific environmental authority under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The UBA assumes responsibility for the protection of the environment and of humankind against adverse environmental factors and represents all essential fields of study and qualifications. ESCALATE works closely together with the Division I - Environmental Planning and Sustainability Strategies which deals with strategies for sustainable development.

InGrA

The International Graduate Academy (InGrA)

of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg was founded in 2008 to enhance the quality of formal education for doctoral students. InGrA works across all Faculties, particularly with regard to the Association of all Graduate Schools consolidated in InGrA.

iDiv

The German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) since October 1, 2012, and will become a hub for biodiversity research. ESCALATE works closely together with many iDiv members and joins efforts with the integrated graduate program yDiv.
