„Emerging pollutants and multiple stressors in aquatic ecosystems“

EDA-EMERGE is a Marie Curie ITN, which aims to train a new generation of young scientists in the interdisciplinary techniques required to meet the major challenges in the monitoring, assessment and management of toxic pollution in European river basins.

The EDA-EMERGE conference was focusing on the PhD students working in the field of emerging pollutants and multiple stressors in aquatic ecosystems. This conference is supported by leading partner projects of related research fields: SOLUTIONS, MARS, GlobAqua, NORMAN, MOTREM and the UFZ IP Healthy Aquatic Ecosystems.


Participants joined the conference to…

  • exchange your findings with PhDs working in the field of emerging pollutants and multiple stressors
  • establish networks for future research and cooperation
  • learn from keynote lectures of senior scientists
  • discuss your vision for future research and research needs in the field of emerging pollutants and multiple stressors

The conference offered:

  • Free participation
  • Platform presentations for PhD students (12min)
    present your work in a relaxed and constructive environment, with an audience of PhD students working in the same field
  • Poster sessions
  • Keynote lectures on emerging pollutants, multiple stressors and related topics
  • Talks on career perspectives for young environmental scientists
  • The possibility to chair a session in order to train your skills as moderator at a scientific conference
  • Participation in a common opinion paper
  • Networking in a relaxed environment
  • Social events including an excursion, BBQ & music

The deadline for abstract submission is expired, no new registrations possible.
