CSI:Environment network consists of 10 full partners (one industrial and 9 academic partners), which host one or more fellows, and 4 associated partners, which co-supervise projects, offer internships and provide samples. These partners have complementary expertise and backgrounds ranging from chemical and isotope analytics, chemistry, microbiology, biogeochemistry, hydrology, ecotoxicology and mathematical modeling to implementation of scientific methods in the domain of consultancy and regulation.

Moreover, there is an advisory board for advice with respect to scientific implementation and development of research directions. It is composed by two visiting scientists and one representative of the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA).
